Q: How do I reserve/book a date with you?
A: To book us for your wedding cake in Utah, An initial, non refundable, retainer is due along with a signed cake contract to reserve your date. The initial retainer is applied to your total cake cost. Any refunds due to emergencies, cancellations, and postponements are seen on a case-by-case basis.
Q: When is the final balance due?
A: The remaining balance on your wedding cake order is due 2 weeks prior to the event date.
Q: Do you offer consultations and cake tastings?
A: We are happy to offer cake consultations and tastings! This provides the opportunity to get to know you, your partner, create a design unique to you both, and try delicious cake of course! These consultations can be held in person or over a phone call and typically last 30-45 minutes. They can include 2-3 individuals. We will discuss details including: event date, time, Utah venue location, delivery/pick-up options, wedding cake flavors, number of servings, and design. Prior to the consultation, sending pictures, and design aesthetics, color swatches, and general design inspiration are helpful and appreciated. With a minimum order of $600, the wedding cake consultation/tasting is complimentary.
Q: How much should I expect to invest on my cake?
A: The final investment will greatly depend on the intricacy of techniques used along with number of servings. Please inquire for a more accurate quote of your custom Utah cake.
Q: How far in advance should I inquire?
A: As soon as possible! aspen cake design takes a limited number of Utah wedding cake orders each month to ensure adequate attention is given to each clients’ cake. Most clients book their wedding cake 3-6 months in advance.
Q: Can you copy a cake design from this image?
A: Due to the process of creation, and out of respect for other Cake artists, we can not and will not duplicate a cake precisely. Rather, we can find inspiration from your photo to create something uniquely yours.
Q: Do you offer delivery and set up services?
A: Yes, we’re happy to offer delivery and set up services! The total will be calculated by delivery location and estimated time spent setting-up your wedding cake. Please inquire for a more precise delivery quote. We are currently based out of Utah/SLC county and only serve the state of Utah.
Q: Can I pick up my wedding cake?
A: Due to the delicate nature of wedding cakes, I do recommend delivery with any tiered cake order. Consider the investment of your cake. Delivery eliminates stress on your part and is one less thing to worry about on your big day. However, is you so choose, pickup is available for cakes no larger than 2 tiers. 3 tiered wedding cakes must be delivered. If you do wish to pickup your cake, I will issue you with transportation and storage guidelines. aspen cake design is not responsible for any damage that may occur once the cake has left our premises.
